RePercussion Trio

RePercussion Trio

RePercussion Trio is a percussion trio, created in 2016, composed by Alexandre Silva, Daniel Araújo and Jorge Pereira that began in an emblematic and traditional repertoire for percussion trio. Currently it focuses on the dissemination of contemporary, experimental and performative music through the development of new works for percussion trio, with the collaboration of composers, and as a group, in the contemporary creation of shows

Sustain.

Sustain. is a solo percussion project about climate change that symbolizes our ability as humans to persevere and overcome adversity that stands in our way. The musical action of “sustain” sounds, a movement, a breath, etc. has a political dimension, it is a cry for those who have no voice and a clear reminder to those who are indifferent to the future of our world.

Sustain. was a premiere four new works for percussion solo by the composers Barblina Meierhans, Isaac Roth Blumfield, Kelley Sheehan and Maurizio Azzan.

Trio Abstrakt Logo_white_tagline.png

Trio Abstrakt (piano, saxophone & percussion) is a declaration of love for new chamber music. With the highest precision and dedication, the ensemble has been working on sophisticated contemporary chamber music from the last three decades for over eight years.

Given their exciting interpretations, sensitive playing and their preference for complex, intricate and multi-layered music, it is not surprising that the musicians are the dedicatees of new works by renowned composers such as Pierluigi Billone, Franck Bedrossian, Isabel Mundry, Giorgio Netti, Michael Edwards, Alberto Posadas, and many others.
